Last updated 7 November 2026. Draft for legal review before launch.

These terms are an agreement between you and 38South Digital, Melbourne, Australia (“we”, “us”), the maker of Dropbucket. By creating an account you agree to them.

The service

Dropbucket lets you send files and collect files using a storage bucket that you own and connect. We provide the app, the links, the branded pages and the emails. You provide and pay for the storage.

Your account

  • You must give accurate details and keep your password safe.
  • You’re responsible for what happens in your workspace, including what your team members do.
  • You must be old enough to form a contract where you live.

Your storage and your files

  • Your files stay in your bucket and remain yours. We don’t claim any rights over them.
  • You’re responsible for your storage account, its costs, its security settings and its backups.
  • The access key you connect should be limited to the bucket you use with Dropbucket. We encrypt it and only use it to run your links.
  • If your storage provider is down, misconfigured or deletes data, we can’t recover it for you.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Dropbucket to:

  • send or collect anything illegal, including material that infringes someone else’s copyright;
  • send malware, phishing pages or spam;
  • harass anyone or collect people’s information without a lawful reason;
  • get around plan limits, probe or overload our systems, or access other customers’ data.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules. Where we can, we’ll tell you first.

Plans and payment

  • Free plans can be changed or limited by us with reasonable notice.
  • Lifetime plans are a one-off payment for access to that plan’s features for as long as we run Dropbucket. They are not transferable. Plan limits (brands, seats, domains and emails per day) are listed on the pricing page at the time you buy.
  • Purchases through AppSumo follow AppSumo’s refund policy. Direct purchases can be refunded within 30 days by emailing support@dropbucket.io.
  • Prices are in US dollars unless shown otherwise. Taxes may apply.

If Dropbucket closes

If we ever shut down, we’ll give at least 60 days’ notice by email. Your files are already in your own bucket, so nothing needs to be moved, and you can export your account data before the service ends.

Our liability

We work hard to keep Dropbucket reliable, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we’ll email account owners before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
